The only thing in there which sounds worth getting is the Still Remains cover of HLAH. I really can't imagine how it will sound... oh and the A7X cover just to see how badly they fuck up.
It is stupid to even try and cover Simple Man after how well Shinedown did it. I still want to hear it though, I like Deftones. That and KSE's Holy Diver are the only things I'll ever let enter my ears from that junkpile. Avenged Sevenfold doing Pantera is a sin to say the least. BFMV doing Ozzy? Jesus. I can't believe this. I didn't know Atreyu moonlighted as a comedy act, either. I'm sorry if my comments piss anyone off, just my opinion on this.
I've heard it. I think they did really good but I don't know about that other band that covered this song so I can't compare.
I thought Shinedown's cover of "Simple Man" was utter garbage, personally. But I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who thinks that.
No your not, I thought it was pure garbage as well. Now im not sure about Deftones's version because my brother says it's pretty good.
Man! I can't wait to buy this issue! I'll need something to wipe my ass with in case I run out of toilet paper!
The A7X cover was pretty fucking sweet when I saw it live on friday. I dont get why you think it'll suck.
It's actually a really decent cover. This should be a nice compilation. @Neil: Shut up. Half those bands aren't emo at all. Actually a good portion of them aren't emo at all.
Couldn't agree more. Frankly this talk of whats emo and what isn't is driving me insane. And Neil let me tell you something else that's getting me annoyed, your god damn attitude on these forums. I joined LPA 2 years ago and I don't ever recall you saying one pleasant thing so lighten the fuck up and see the good side of things for once. You don't like the selection of tracks? Well boo-hoo don't fucking buy it then instead of saying emo emo emo emo emo emo emo emo emo emo emo emo emo emo emo emo. I'll admit that some of those tracks seem a little dodgey but I'll buy it anyway because its only bloody £2.00
Deftones' cover of Simple Man is good, and I wouldn't mind hearing most of the others, especially Biffy Clyro.
Out of all those bands, the only one that can even be considered "emo" is Fall Out Boy. And they're only "emo" because they're "mainstream."
Didn't see the KSE cover...that should be fucking awesome. I have faith Bullet will be okay with the ozzy cover, I thought their version of Sanitarium was one of the highlights of Remastered.
Anyone had the chance to listen to this yet ? I got a copy this morning but havent listened to it yet as im still at work
