This album is one of the greatest rap albums I own. It's actually meaningful rap about growning up and going to college and how college wasnt right for Kanye. It has humor mixed in the skits and guest apperances by some of the greatest rappers of our time: Common, Ludacris, and Jay-Z just to name a few. He even raps about how bad the hip-hop and rap is now, thats what makes the album even better. My personal favorites are: All falls down, SpaceShip, Jesus walks, Never let me down, Get Em High, Workout Plan (skit), The New Workout Plan, Slow Jamz, Breathe in Breath out, and Last Call. If you have it, What did you think about this album? If you like rap and dont have it, you have to get it. Note: If you don't like rap music, dont bother posting. This is not a debate, just post your feelings.
Yah this guy is for real. Obviously he did bets before for many other artists and if i'm not mistaken i think this is his first album. It is an absolutely great albumand probably one of the best rap albums to come out since Joe Budden's cd last year. He proves how great of a rapper he is with his song Through the Wire where he raps only a few days after a serious accident where he had to get his jaw wired shut. But yah i love this album.
I haven't gotten a chance to buy the cd yet but I definately plan on doing so. I have heard a few of the songs and they are all great.
I completely agree with you all. The first time I heard "Through the Wire" on the radio, I was suprised that I liked the song. I ended up learning it and was soon a Kanye West fan. Later on in the year I got the cd. I was so surprised because it is such an exquisite album. I haven't hear a rap album that compares to "College Dropout." My favorite songs on the cd include, "Never Let Me Down," "Jesus Walks," "We Don't Care," and "Last Call." The title of the album in self-explanatory. "College Dropout" is quite a hilarious album. The skits on the cd are too funny. If you do not own this album and you LIKE Kanye West I suggest that you go out and buy it right away.
