I know this Kanye West stuff has been disscused before, but what they might have been dicussing at Live 8 is the possability of him producing thr next album.

Don is an excellent produce but it woudl make a change and take LP in a diffrent direction which most peopel think they shoudl go (I dont think they should)...

i heard that they might do a track with kanye, they met the day before live 8 during soundchecks. they were only talking - nothing for definate yet.

i dont think kanye would produce LPs next album - just doesnt seem to fit....kanye and LP. doesnt have a ring to it in my opinion ^_^

I'm sure Kanye respects rock as a whole, but I doubt he'd ever produce a rock album.

Definitely not happening. I can't see Kayne producing Linkin Park's next album.

And I highly doubt Mike is going to produce their next album either. He's producing Fort Minor which is probably hella work. Maybe if he didn't take up all of his spare time producing albums, he would actually be up to the task of producing a Linkin Park album.

Kanye West seems like a pretty open musician. If you read his itunes playlist you would be surprised at some of the music he listens to. It would be intersting to see, but like saoid maybe or song or two, but a whole album, i dont know and i doubt it even happening at all.

Maybe better than Don Gilmore, but I'd much rather them get a rock/metal-oriented producer who could help develop their sound, I think Rick Rubin could do the trick, he's a major pre-production, ideas guy...I think he would work to develop their potential as a band.

Well, it's true. His output is just not something many people here like (for one reason or another).

He's always been someone I've wanted LP to work with.

Didn't he work with Jay-Z on "99 Problems"? Maybe Jay-Z will give them a hook-up.
