Check out Kanye's West new video for Jesus walks Window Media Player Real Player This video is on my top 5 for my favourite videos of 2004. Its really powerful.
I wouldn't be too suprised if some media outlet blew this video out of proportion. That's an awesome video.
The MTV version premiered on TRL today, another version premieres on MTV2 Thursday (I think) and another on MTV.com this weekend. That's what Kon said on MTV today. He also said his camp was trying to get a DVD out with all 3 versions. Kanye also mentioned, in one version (I think the one that will come on MTV2 later this week) has a Klu Klux Klan member chopping wood to build a cross to burn, the cross is shot down from like lightning or something, and he picks it up and walks with it trying to catch himself on fire, and then it starts raining (Kanye described the rain and lightning as acts of God). He added that he wanted to have 5 different videos for the song, but couldn't due to lack of money and time. The one day I sit and watch TRL, I suddenly have all sorts of #### to say
Wow that is Kanye's best video yet and one of the best videos I've seen this year overall. Kanye is one of my favorite hip-hop artists and ''Jesus Walks'' is my favorite off of his album, and I'm happy that they chose it for his new single. Awesome song, awesome video. Strong messages, and I like that.
Thats the version that is posted, lol. I just saw another version of it on BET, Kanye was like a priest and ####.
it is not that bad of a video, although it is not groundbreaking. Why the hell is he so worried to make sure that his video will be played? Does he not notice that MTV, when not playing lame reality shows, plays nothing but pop-punk, all rap, and all r&b artists that make a video?

[/b][/quote] I was on dial-up at the time I posted and wouldn't waste time to actually try the link The Kanye-priest one with the prostitute, drunk and gang member is the one I saw on MTV.
Did you not listen to the song??? "But If i talk about god my record wont get played" Thats the reason buddy. Listen with your ears, not with your eyes. Why are you so critical? Almost every post I read by you had some sort of criticism in it..

In addition, he says "his record won't be played." his other 1 or two singles are resulting in mass purchasing of his album, record sales and playing should not matter
That's like asking if Christopher Reeves can walk. Pay a visit to the Project 86 boards; maybe that will answer some questions.

So it would matter to him if it got played or not. I'm sorry I asked...
