Pretty fuckin' good in my opinion although I thought i'd poll the public.

From Faith No More to Mr Bungle to Tomahawk, Peeping Tom, etc he's done some fantastic stuff. Just wondered how many of you lot are into him and how deep into his catalogue have you gone to?

Angel Dust, Peeping Tom, and Album of The Year are my favourites from his discography.

    1. Faith No More - Angel Dust
    2. Mr Bungle - s/t
    3. Fantomas - s/t
    4. Faith No More - King For A Day...

Fifth place would be a tie between Lovage, The DEP and Peeping Tom.

The only project of his I'm not completely sure about is Tomahawk and they seem to be more Duane Denison's band anyway.

I think Patton is fantastic. Not everything he releases hits the mark, but more often than not, its still more original the 90% of the music out there. The only real misses in my eyes are Tomahawk (which, like Dean pointed out, is really Duane Denison's project) and some of the early Mr. Bungle stuff.

    My personal favorites:

1.Faith No More - Angel Dust
    2.Mr. Bungle - Disco Volante
    3.Fantomas - The Directors Cut/Self-Titled (Tie)
4.The Dillinger Escape Plan - Irony Is A Dead Scene
    5.Faith No More - King For A Day.../Peeping Tom - S/T (Tie... again) :p

I've only heard his material with The Dillinger Escape Plan and Faith No More, and I hate Faith No More, so I'm not going to make a judgment.

    Best. Rock. Album. Ever.

Other than the fabulous Faith No More, i really dig the DEP record and the second Fantomas. I still haven't checked out Mr. Bungle as much as i want, and i didn't like the Peeping Tom record.

So yeah, Faith No More FTW. Even before Patton, though.

Chuck Moseley was a pretty slick lyricist, but even though his vocals suited some of the songs in the context of the lyrics (like We Care A Lot) he sounded a bit annoying at times.

God, Mr. Bungle is probably the worst excuse for a band I've ever heard.

Mike Patton is vastly overrated, but I'll be goddamned if the guy isn't a superb vocalist. The things he can do with his voice is just mindblowing. Fantomas, The Dillinger Escape Plan & Peeping Tom are my favorites, with Maldoror being... interesting, to say the least, since I'm a big Merzbow fan.

I'm highly anticipating the Mondo Cane CD, though. It's going to be the bees knees.
