Basically, my computer has been in a downward spiral towards hell for the past few months.

I've been through it all before but pretty much it keeps breaking for no reason, which is fucking annoying.

Anyways, I pretty much wanna know if there's any way of completely deleting stuff from my harddrive. I mean like, so that there's no back up of it and whatever.

If you could help me out, that'd be great.

Also, when I load my computer it takes freaking ages for Norton (which I believe is shite anyway) to open and apparently scan (I dunno why it's doing this 'cause I've never told it to). Anyone know why this may happen?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and now I've gotta hope my comp doesn't freeze and die on me whilst I try to post this.

    Bleh.

...you mean format it? Pop in the XP CD and reinstall. Make sure you backup your documents.

Norton scans without you telling it, because it has a scheduled task to run every night at 2AM or whatever you set it as.

    Enjoy.

I don't really want to format it like. Just delete the crap I don't want. Not sure if that's possible though.

    Stupid Norton. xD

It's taking me like, 30 minutes to start up because of it... That can't be right, surely?

Hum. So I should just get rid of it then eh?

I'd still say you'll hafta just backup all the stuff you want to save and format it anyways. If it's taking that long to start up, it's beyond hope...just burn the drive to the ground and start again.

Well. I uninstalled Norton and all of the problems have magically disappeared. No loading time and no freezing.

What are the odds eh?

    Shocking! (sarcasm)
