Linkin Park returns for their fourth show in the Czech Republic tonight! Tonight marks the second show of the band's One More Light European Tour, and their third show in Prague. The band is coming out strong from their performance at the Download Festival France two nights ago, where they played a 24 song set consisting of a mixture of fan favorites and songs from One More Light, but failed to debut any new songs. You can read all about the show here. The band's first show in Prague took place on September 03, 2003, during the Meteora European Tour. The band played a fairly safe and typical show for that era, with some of the highlights being "With You", "Crawling" and "One Step Closer" being performed with portions from their respective Reanimation versions. The band returned to the city on June 12, 2007 during the Minutes to Midnight European Tour. Yes, the show took place 9 years and 364 days before tonight's show. The one day difference makes me sad too. The band was supported by Thirty Second to Mars, and they played a set opening with "One Step Closer" and ending with "Faint" along with it's extended outro, which had just been premiered a month earlier. The last time the band played in the country was on June 17, 2008 in Brno. For me, by far the most interesting thing about this show, is that the band played Reading My Eyes. The band had started playing it during that tour to satisfy requests of their hardcore fans, and let the fans hear the actual lyrics, because according to Mike the lyrics he found online were "way off". The band had cancelled two shows before this one due to Brad being ill. But perhaps the most interesting part of the band's trivia with Prague is that the band shot the music videos for "Numb" and "From the Inside" in the city, so the city definitely contributed to building the aesthetic of the Meteora Era. Revisit the official video for "From the Inside" below, as it is obviously the superior song between the two. Come at me. Two nights ago, the band played a 24 song set in Brétigny-sur-Orge at the Download Festival France. Unfortunately, the speculated live debut of One More Light album closer "Sharp Edges" did not happen, but maybe it is on the table for tonight, or for later on in the tour. The set was largely the same as on the band's South America Tour last month, opening with the vocodized "Roads Untraveled" intro into "Talking to Myself" and ending with "Bleed It Out". Having followed the band's last few tours, I can say it's unlikely the band will be rotating setlists on this tour, and the setlist will most likely remain the same throughout the tour with minor changes here and there. Don't get me wrong, though, I'd love to be proven wrong. For me, the highlights of the band's current setlists are definitely the 2017 version of "Leave Out All The Rest" and the killer combo of "Invisible" and "Waiting For the End", bridged together by the opening verse of Fort Minor's "Remember the Name." Check out some great fan footage of the show closer "Bleed It Out" below. After this, the band heads to Berlin for the first non-festival show of the tour. And in other news, we'll keep plugging this meet up thread for just as long as you keep ignorning it. Will you be attending this show or one of the upcoming shows of the tour? I was there when they played Reading My Eyes in Brno (my first LP show, feels like a lifetime ago). I wish they still played rare songs every now and then.
Me too, can't wait tonight to see the setlist because 6/10 OML is a bit too much considering the rest of the songs.
Nope, the show in Berlin at the Mercedes-Benz Arena and the couple of shows in England aren't festivals.
Remember in the last cycle people complained they didn't play enough songs off the album they were promoting
Yup. Glad they're playing so much from the new album. That's how much bands should play. Now if only they'd stop playing so many songs from the first two albums...
I hope they drop "Battle Symphony" and play something else off OML. I would rather have any of the unplayed tracks, easily. Maybe it's just me, but it just sounds off live. I don't know how SFN would sound live, but I would really REALLY love to hear it and I hope they eventually start playing it.
Same setlist of Paris http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/linki...ha-letany-prague-czech-republic-43e753af.html
Here you go, BS and SIB is replaced by Sharp Edges and Nobody can save me. As dor SFN, I'm good with skipping this one.
