You're late Jay, Apathy has already done a song about auto tune. Song ain't bad though. I'm digging it.
no offense but this guy is ripping on people for what he see's is crappy music, but his lyrics are so mediocre... I could write a crappy rap with random swear words here and there too, in fact i used to when I was like... 12... Don't get me wrong, I think its impressive that he can rap that fast and keep a clear pronunciation, but you really shouldn't rip on someones style and then bring crap to the table... I think the whole auto tune thing is kind of annoying too and I couldn't really listen to a whole song of the kayne west album because of it, but whatever. I don't listen to much rap in general but when I do I like it to either be very symbolic and clean, ie with Hands Raised High, or like creatively funny, like some of lil waynes stuff. I love listening to his lyrics and laughing at how random some of it is. Other then that though I just find the whole genre has led to people shouting about hoes and drugs and guns. Its hard to find real good rap nowadays.
I see what you are saying but you really shouldn't judge an artist based on one song. I personally don't think it's a hard diss track myself but I do enjoy his other songs a lot. Don't wanna make this thread about Apathy but here's a track which shows that he isn't one of those rappers who only talk shit on beats. As for the whole 'gun/drug talk', it has been embedded into the hip-hop culture. If you can't deal with it then hip-hop isn't for you my friend. But there certainly are alternative rappers who tend to avoid these subjects. You might wanna try them out.
Based on the song title, I'm anticipating that somebody will be clever and put together a Jay-Z/Julien-K mashup sometime soon.
