I'm planning on getting this today; Specs: • Plays up to 180 hours of digital music • 6GB of internal storage • Vivid color display • Ultra-intuitive interface with convenient touch strip • Displays your digital photos • Slim, lightweight design • PlaysForSure enabled to play more of your music • Rechargeable, removable battery lasts up to 12hrs. • Built-in FM tuner and FM recorder • Integrated voice recorder • Ultra-fast USB 2.0 transfers • Supports MP3, WMA, JPEG and TXT files • Enhanced 3D audio (supports SRS WOW™) Thoughts? It's an MP3 player with picture viewing capabilities, and voice recording.
Haven't heard anything about it myself, but that's because iPod has stolen the spotlight hook, line, and sinker. Looks very cool though, really like the design.
When they say 180 hours of music, what sort of quality of songs are they judging it on. Looks like a good choice though. i would go for something bigger than 6 gig but that is just me.
Well, if my math is correct, 128kbit MP3s are roughly 1 megabyte per minute of music. So 6,000 megabytes=6,000 minutes of music. 6,000 minutes divided by 60 minutes in an hour=100 hours of music. 64kbit MP3s would provide roughly 200 hours. They advertise 180 hours, so the bitrate they're talking about is problably 80ish, in other words, uber crappy quality. But, then when you take into account that once a drive is formatted, a 6 gigabyte drive is actually probably more alike 5.5 gigabytes, we're talking about even smaller bitrates to fit them on the MP3 player, so yeah, probably 64, which is AM radio quality.

[/b][/quote] Yeah. All my mp3s around between 128-192kbps. I have 672 mp3s on my player and it's about 4GB filled. There's only 5GB reserved for mp3s, though. Still, I'll be able to fit about 750 mp3s on my player, which is excellent. This is by far the best purchase I've ever made. I know there's alot of iPod fanboys and fangirls out there, but this puts it to shame. The voice recording is perfect quality, the playback is perfect, the menus are easily accessible and browsable, there's radio (with the ability to record live), picture capabilities, a color screen, everything. It's flawless.

Lest we get banned. Again, I'm an iPod guy, but I understand that everyone has their needs. Seeing as I hang out with a bunch of DJs (who release on average 2 albums every month), I need space for a lot of music, so I went with the bigger drive. If voice recording is what you want, then yeah, that's great for you. I remember a time when I couldn't imagine having 5 gigs of music, and now I have 15+. So it all depends on the person. Sweet design, though.
It looks like the player has every capability. Great design, great features. My neighbor got one, and she says it's working perfectly. Good choice.
