Ive owned my new 20GB iPod for a whole weekend now, its soo sweet!!

I can now listen to music on my laptop, then when I go out.. take my WHOLE music collection with me in my pocket!! The iPod is so slick, I don't think any other MP3 player can come close to it in terms on design and interface!!! It also doubles up as a FireWire hard drive so I can carry around and back-up files with it!!

I suggest that whenever your birthday is, you beg and plead with your parents to get you one because it is just awesome!!

    ^_^

I am asking my parents for an iPod for my birthday. My friend has one and it goes with him everywhere. I would love to have one.

I so envy you, Alex.

I'm confused..what's the point of Ipods really? They're expensive, all you have to do is get some blank CD's, download songs, and burn them all on the CD's! Then you can take them in a CD case wherever you want, in your car, or whatever. It's also cheaper too, I don't really mind carrying around a mini CD case in my purse or backpack or whatever. Oh well. It's just my opinion really. ;)

Say you download a new song (legal or illegal). You listen to it on ur computer. You'd then burn that onto a CD, then have to carry it around with your other CDs. If you waned to swap your music around on the bus or whatever you'd have to mess around with disks. And then remember which track number it was ect ect. CDs can also skip and scratch.

With the iPod, you download a new song (legal or illegal). You listen to it on ur computer. The track gets uploaded to your iPod automatically, not a single button to push. If you waned to swap your music around on the bus you'd just goto the main menu and browse your music by Artist, Genre ect ect which is generated by the MP3s ID tag.

Its just the perfect personal music player... nothing can come close to it!

I'm content with my MD player for the moment. I'm saving up for an Apple G4 or G5 or something around those lines. But I'll probably look into one of those in the years to come.

The battery is built in (ie you cant remove it unless you get a kit).. you can charge it from a USB or FireWire connection or from a power socket.

Doesn't the battery last 19 months if you don't charge it or something?

My battery has gone to #### already, its rechargeable so you have to let it run out before you charge it fully again. I learned this the hard way, alas, my battery is teh suck.
