I just bought mine today ( :hugz: ) and I had a very silly question that doesn't seem to be covered in the guide book:

After it's charged and it's not in use, do you leave it on the charger, or take it out and turn it off?

My friend says he takes it out, but I can't trust him. What are you supposed to do? Thanks

    Omizzle Out.

PS: If someone wants to move this, go ahead. I thought this forum was best.

I always just leave it in the charger. I don't see a point in taking it out, just leave it fully charged on the charger. It shouldn't hurt it.

Thanks, I feel safer doing that. I'm afraid I'll wake up in the morning and the battery is drained.

Now it's ready for school

No Problem, If i'm not using it, I always leave it on the charger. Just to make sure that when i do want to use it, it's fully charged.

Is it true that you can't run the program on Windows 98? I'm afraid my dad bought me an iPod (or is gonna buy it in very short time) and I won't be able to use it because I have these damned W98... :wth:

nope, wont work on 98. iTunes requires win2k or XP.

But, there is a program called EphPod that I *think* will work on Win98 and lets you put stuff on your iPod

I love this thing :chemist: although I wish I had more music to fill 20GB. I've gotten more than half of my music on there and it's less than 2G!

I always take it off, I heard it's bad for the battery if you leave it on there. But I guess it shouldn't matter either way.

You can always upgrade, as a last resort. Windows 98 is very out of date anyway. :wth:

You know, there are some people who can't afford the latest versions of everything.

I read an official Apple PDF which stated that leaving on the charger after it's fully charged doesn't make any difference (or I assume, doesn't hurt it either).

You should conduct a little test to see which is better.
