It's a random thoughts thread, except this time just about LP. Because every idea that I thought was newsworthy was not actually newsworthy, but it was interesting nonetheless. I didn't know Suru was notable enough for Hong Kong to counterfeit, but I guess I am wrong. I like them better than the stuff actually from Suru >_>
On Rob Dyrdek's episode of Cribs he said he found a pair of fake DC's in China with his branding on them. It's probably the same company that is counterfeiting.
I forgot to mention that about a month ago when I went to an MLB game I noticed that a profesional baseball player (Ben Revere on the Twins) had S.C.O.M by Fort Minor as his walk up song. It was sick, brah.
I remember sitting in some random evening class a couple years when I noticed the person in front of me was wearing their swim team shirt, with the lyrics to Remember the Name written on it. I squeed.
The last 2 years they played Bleed It Out when I watched the Blackhawks play at the United Center. They were in a text poll last year against Bush's Machine Head and P.O.D.'s Boom. Needless to say, Bleed It Out won. But the Blackhawks didn't. *sadface*
Pretty critical review of their bangkok show http://www.bangkokpost.com/arts-and-culture/music/258473/a-walk-in-the-park
Besides the illness issues, they sound like they're having the same issues they did with BFD. Their last show at Mountain View was the worst concert I had attended. I could not see a thing because the pit there is in the back and, even though I made the rail, the people in front of us (seat tickets, disabled section) were sitting on the next rail ahead and blocking the view for the entire section of pit. And, there were no screens zoomed up on the band members like there usually were. So I didn't really get to see the band perform. I could hear them, but the volume was turned down so low that the second stage was drowning LP out at times. I blamed BFD for the lack of visuals, though. THe crew did say that radio shows are hard. I'm never attending a radio show again.
