Alright, I'm using ImToo DVD Ripper 3.0.7 to rip my DVDs to my computer. I'm saving them as SVCD (MPEG-2) files. Whenever I rip a video, the video playback is fine, but the audio is nothing but a high pitched, really loud hissing noise with some garbled background noise. I know I'm probably just not setting something right in Input/Output settings, but I dunno WTF the settings do. Anybody here use this program who could help me?

You won't have too much luck with DVD Rippers that output regular mpeg or avi files. I use a program called DVD Shrink which rips the DVD to a format on your computer as if you were to burn another copy (all the vob and irregular mpeg files). However, when using a DVD playing you can play the ripped material as if it were a DVD once you rip the content.

Well the thing is, I used this program all the time about a year ago, and it worked just fine. I reformatted my computer and just now got around to reinstalling it, and I can't remember what to set my input/output settings as. >.<

I do have another program called DVD Decrypter though, and it rips DVDs to IFO/ISO files. I don't have anything that converts those into a playable media format though. =/

DVD Decryptor and DVD Shrink are the best programs available.
