No to Hopsin. Yes to Eminem.

People say he wouldn't go well with LP, but he'd definitely do a great job over an electronic beat like W&K or LITE. Example: Won't Back Down, Session One, Loud Noises, and even White America.

I agree. I don't like Hopsin. But Eminem and Linkin Park...wow, that would be freaking awesome. The result of their collaboration would be epic!

Why? Eminem is awesome and Linkin Park is awesome. AWESOME + AWESOME = REALLY REALLY AWESOME.

No, it's not. It's cliched as hell. I know exactly why there's a huge overlap between the two fanbases but if I say it, hardly anyone's gonna be happy with me.

I'm a fan of all 3, but I'm not sure if it could work.

^ I love how people know exactly how a song is gonna turn out to be.. Can you give us some arguments why you think it wouldn't work out? and why is it cliche if 2 amazing artist would sit together, their styles would match, LP has done hip hop before..

I think* that if they actually sat together and took their time and took an interesting subject the song would be amazing.

Well for starters I think Eminem is absolutely terrible now and Hopsin's style couldn't be more different from LP's. It just wouldn't work.

It would work perfect, oh and btw Eminem=LP (before LT I would say Eminem>LP) and Eminem>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mike Shinoda

    Em >>>>>Mike
Em is better, BUT Mike isn't bad too. He didn't show his real skillz.
And you know what, I prefer Mike over Eminem. Mike's stuff is just more personal (to me).
And Mike is a better live rapper then Eminem.

Very much agree with this. I don't know what sparked this whole ''Eminem + LP'' thing recently. It's really kind of annoying. Someone even asked about it at the Summit. I hate Eminem with a fiery passion and I don't understand why people think it's going to happen. Mike said a few years back that he does not think it will ever happen, and Rob said at the Summit that it probably will never happen either. Don't you think it would have happened already if it were to?

Mike is good as well but compared to a lot of other rappers he is not. I understand the personal aspect.

Sure. Linkin Park tends to make pretty poppy music. Living Things in particular is filled with a lot of bright, shimmering synths. They also tend to make very dramatic, cinematic sounding songs.

Eminem needs beats that could suit his double time flow and intricate rhymes. In my opinion, this means a beat that keeps it kind of simple, not a bright synth-y song full of catchy melodies like Lost In The Echo (just for example). I haven't heard anything that would suit Eminem from Linkin Park since probably Reanimation.

You could make an argument for Until It Breaks, but that beat is geared more towards someone rapping with more swagger/less wordplay. Someone like Ludacris could probably do something decent on Until It Breaks.

    Well, Em>Mike in rapping.

Eminem isn't horrible now, as someone said, H:TS is an absolutely amazing album, and he's still awesome.

It'd be a great song, Mike/Em wouldn't even bother putting it out if they weren't satisfied with it, and more importantly, it they thought fans wouldn't be satisfied with it...

Hopsin and Mike Shinoda would work well.

And thank you for introducing me to Hopsin. 'You are My Enemy' is bumpin.

To put it bluntly, it's because Eminem and Linkin Park are as far as certain people will go into rap without being exposed to black artists. Eminem is not the best rapper to ever exist. There are plenty that match or exceed his technical ability and subject matter while avoiding the suck period he's been in since Encore. He has songs with emotionally-heavy content and frequently uses guitars in his own production, which appeals to the kind of Linkin Park fans who wouldn't come within a mile of a cypher.
