So I only recently got into these guys when I heard their song "Radioactive" in a commercial. I had heard "It's Time" on the radio a billion times and thought it was pretty good, but never picked up on who was singing it. After listening to their album Night Visions I have to say I'm really impressed by it. There isn't a bad song on the entire album. For those of you unfamiliar with ID, think of them as a mix of oneRepublic and The Fray. At least that's what I hear. Do we have any fans here? Recommended songs: Radioactive, Demons, Amsterdam, Tiptoe, Bleeding Out
I'm a fan of the album yeah. I first heard of them when some girl brought a vinyl of Night Visions to a lecture for no apparent reason.
I fucking love them. I would go as far to say that Night Visions is one of the best albums of all time. That's how much I love the music they produce.
I heard a few of their songs since Tap Tap Revenge has around 5 songs that are free to download to play. "It's Time" is pretty good, but the only other songs I've heard from them are "Selene", "Radioactive", "Demons" and "I Don't Mind".
Fuck yeah! With those epic drums, electronics, always a guitar in the background... I love it. And the epic choruses... <3 My favorite tracks: Radioactive, Bleeding Out, Amsterdam, Uptight, America and Nothing Left To Say/Rocks. EDIT: And 'Round and Round'. How could I forget it...
Started listening to them at the end of last year, I think they're a pretty good band. Very catchy songs.
I've been digging It's Time, Radioactive, and Demons for a while but I finally gave in and completed the whole album on ITunes yesterday and I'm glad I did. Every song has an epic feel that makes taking a shit feel like it's going to save the world. The only subpar tracks on the original tracklist are Every Night, Underdog, and On Top Of the World, which is annoyingly happy to me. I don't see the One Republic and the Fray comparisons, but maybe that's because I see those bands as pop rock and I consider ID to be indie pop, which I find "above" pop rock.
Underdog and On Top Of The World are really happy songs, something I usually dislike, but here, they're amazing. Every Night is probably my least favourite song by them, it's a little too... annoying. Check out their older stuff, like the It's Time EP.
Agreed, although I have to say, their songs are either a hit or miss for me. Some songs are just not my thing while others (Bleeding Out, Demons and Radioactive come to mind) are amazing songs to me. Still, like I said, they deserve every bit of respect and attention that they're getting.
Yeah I'm a big fan. Demons is probably my favorite song by them. It's just so freaking powerful. And the video further emphasizes that:
For a band that gets played on the radio enough to be called mainstream, they are really good. Radioactive got me into it and I love the band. Nothing Left to Say, Tiptoe, It's Time, and America are favorites from them.
I don't know, there's something about that band that stops me from getting into them. I can't even explain properly why, but I'm not really a fan.
Fantastic band. I HIGHLY recommend seeing these guys live, they put on absolutely amazing show. I've seen a lot of bands and I am very rarely blown away but these guys kicked my ass.
