Hello all, most of us have dreamed of having their own bands or at least being in some band of you own(and some are lucky enough to have one),so I wanted to know from you that if u had a band what would it be like,i mean how many members will it have and its composition, what genre will it play, what would you like to be in the band, and even the name you have thought of etc etc.Share your ideas/thoughts here.Thank you
How is this serious? Perferably, I'd like to be on my own so I have complete control over my music, but if I were in a band, I'd be open to anything as long as it didn't compromise our music.
oh man, theres this russian kid with a fake accent in my class and he had his own band composed of himself and a drum machine. god, it was hilarious. he made a whole album by himself, i think it took 5 months. it was so bad. it was supposed to be black metal (or so he says). he sent it to some goth magazine and they gave it one star because it was so poorly done but he was so proud that he got in the magazine and he showed everyone. jesus. maybe being in a band by yourself isnt the best thing in the world
Trust me, it isn't going to be like that, and I'm not even going to release anything until I feel that I've pushed myself to just about every last limit musically.
If I had a band, it'd be a cover band and I'd play guitar and sing. We'd cover stuff like CKy, HIM, LP and pretty much anything else popular.
i had a band once too. i was the technical guy, and i worked as a DJ....sorta. i had my bother on vocals which was kick ass cuz he has an AWESOME screaming voice. a lot like chesters. we had a small drum set. a bassist and two guitarist. but the drummer and the guitarists left saying that they didnt like the screaming, so thus the band broke up.
Im somewhat in a band right now. I play guitar, and may end up doing some vocals too if we cant find decent vocalist. we are mostly a metal band, but we have some other influences, namely Smashing Pumpkins and Rage against the Machine.
I'm in a band. I play guitar, and scream. So you've probably guessed that we're a screamy band, more along the lines of post-hardcore/emo/metal sorta thing. Influences are... Funeral For A Friend, Eighteen Visions, Pantera...Iron Maiden
I have a band called Adrenaline Rush, we've finally gotten our line up and everything straightened out. We're like a mix between Linkin Park, Lostprophets, Hoobastank, and Chronic Future. Most of our material is high energy rock stuff. I'm the guitarist in the band. We have a drummer, bassist, and vocalist. We might get a dj or a keyboardist.
I'm actually in 2 right now Instant Noodle Death: Thats just the running title and its mostly a joke band. We have 2 guitarists, a bassist,(sort of) a drummer and a vocalist who runs around and screams alot. The thing that conflicts most is what this band should be, the other guitarist just uses power chords and heavy distortion ALL the time... That isn't a bad thing but if you're using power chords all the time it gets old fast and I wanna do something different and try different styles. So I guess control is an issue and everything should be drilled out beforehand and everyone should be willing to compromise if someone wants something because the other guy is being a wanker in our band and I'm thinking one guitarist is enough now that I think about it.... The Nuës: A band that hasn't really played much yet but its looking to be more rock, classic rock and a bit of punk mixed together. Again, two guitarists, a bassist and a drummer. I guess what I learned from this is that you should practice whenever possible to keep things flowing. I also make music on my own with Fruityloops and my guitar with a RP-80 footswitch/expression pedal and see what I can come up with, if I had a microphone I could put vocals down on tracks, that would be sweet but I'm out of cash right now
I'm in 2 bands, we haven't practiced in a long time, but we always get together to write up new material. Leave It Blank: Straight out punk/screamo and... Three Seconds Apart: Pop-punkish
Probably be a merger beetween all of my favorite bands and my own style. On good days, I like my voice, and it makes me excited knowing that I'm only getting better by the day. Way too many people are trying to be straight-up metalcore with clean singing and/or emo. Around here, people do this and run around with huge ego's like they are the new Metallica.
