4.09 Earths Ya its sad. You guys should take the quiz too! Its really cool. It tells you your "Ecological Footprint" - an estimates that tells you the amount of land and ocean area required in order to sustain your daily lifestyle. For example, if everyone in the planet had my lifestyle, we would need 4 Earths in order to have all the resource we need. http://myfootprint.org/ I decided to share it with you guys, so it can help you guys to think about your lifestyle.
It's not working for me, every time I click the "Next" button I get this "Error code: 0" thing. It said 5.96 for me, but the country average kept changing on me so I don't know how accurate it is.
4.18 Some of the factors are simply out of my hands (I don't have the authority or means to retrofit an apartment complex), but what affected my score the most: 1) I eat a lot of food, especially meat, most of which is not organic or sustainably produced. 2) I, like most Americans, do a lot of driving.
I'm wondering how anyone gets lower than 4. Do you only eat food you grow and live in cabins heated by wood? Bathe in rivers/lakes? I'm a conservative driver and money spender and spend more of my day sleeping than most people. I'm not sure how accurate this quiz is. I think those questions about how many people you live with and how much money the household makes skewed everything. It like lumped all of us together as one human being.
Over 9000! Which means 8.5 earths. It's not my fault everyone isn't as awesome as I am. Which means I win. Go me. EDIT: I did alot of guestimating and somethings I weren't sure about. And then I was thinking to myself mid way through this that I should put the answers in to have the highest number because that's how I roll. Edit on an EDIT: I went back and retook the quiz. Ended up with 4.04.
