    Yeah, it's a known unfixed bug. After 30s your video will pause then resume without sound, right?

    Start the movie then immediately pause it, let it go into sleep mode. If it hasn't gone into sleep mode after about 60s, then just press play again. Usually it'll go to sleep.

    Oh, and it's iPod, not I POD. I highly doubt you produce pods. :lol:

    And then just leave it in sleep mode? or do you turn it on and then it should work?

    Start the movie, then press pause. After a minute it'll go into sleep mode [to conserve engery, of course]. After it goes to sleep, then press play to awake it, then it will work without pausing after 30s. You're going to have to do this every time you watch a movie, unfortunately.

    I probably would have the answer, provided I have a 60 gig. But I don't.

    My friend however who does has this problem but managed to fix it, I'll ask him later.

    Yeah, I just did some reasearch to it. The easiest way is to downgrade from version 1.1 to 1.0 until Apple releases the next version: 1.2.

    you can find version 1.0 on the install disk that came with your iPod, provided you bought your iPod before version 1.1 was released.

    yes thnk u btw...dat was very generous of u...i actually i did some research and found out sth....

    Method 2: TMPGEnc
    -Download the program TMPGEnc.
    -Open TMPGEnc and hit cancel on the Wizard screen.
    -Go to File->MPEG Tools.
    -Click the Simple De-Multiplex tab.
    -Set the MPEG file as your input.
    -The Video and Audio output fields will be set for you.
    -Click the Run button to produce an M1V/M2V file and an MP2 file. The M#V file is the video only, the MP2 file is the Audio only.
    -Click the Close button.
    -In the main TMPGEnc screen, click the Browse button next to Audio Source.
    -Select the MP2 file that you just created.
    -Select File->Output to File->WAVE File.
    -You need to name this file exactly the same as the other files you created, but with a WAV extension. So if your video is named "video.m1v" you need to name this "video.wav".
    -After it's finished, close TMPGEnc.
    -Open Quicktime.
    -Load your M1V or M2V file.
    -Play it and make sure you can hear the audio. That audio is coming from the WAV file of the same name. Quicktime autoloaded it because it had the same name as the video file.
    -Use the Export function as per normal.
    -When finished, you can delete the M1V/M2V, the MP2, and the WAV files.

    Or you could always downgrade to the 1.0 firmware. Quite easy, I did it in less than 5 minutes last night.
