i may be able to help get the mp3s back

    ive read about how you need something with unlimited bandwidth for your mp3s, well i may be able to help. my friend has an unlimited FTP that he lets me use, i might be able to convince him to let you guys use it. ill tell you if i find out more.

    Numerous people have offered us FTP's like the one you just mentioned but there's a few things you need to look over before you truly offer us a host..

    1. Unlimited space/bandwidth actually doesn't exist. You actually want 'unmetered' space and bandwidth which means that you will never be contacted about how much space or bandwidth you consume on the server. If that applies then you can move on to Step 2 which is:

    2. Most hosts have problems with hosting Linkin Park files because they fear the material is copyrighted and want to avoid legal troubles. Although we purposely would go out of our way to never post any album mp3s or anything that could be bought (thus being copyrighted) it should be said that anyone offering a host should MAKE SURE that the host will allow for Linkin Park mp3s and videos. This is to ensure that all of our uploads will not be deleted out of the blue like once before.

    well, i already host some LP mp3s on it, and nobody has been contacted about legal problems with it. like i said, i have to find out a little more about it, but it already hosts quite a bit of stuff, which can be good or bad. good because its never run out of space *knock on wood* but bad because we might need to clear some other stuff out first. ill let you know as soon as i get any more news!

    OK, there may be a few problems with this. I've been assured that there won't be any legal problems with hosting from this FTP, they allow mp3s, and some are already hosted from it. Now my friend has made me aware that the FTP is restricted to Indonesia's IP address (202). However, this only applies to logging into the FTP, not downloading files from it. What this means is, my friend would have to upload all the mp3s for us, but once that's taken care of, it won't be a problem.

    Now, I have a very large collection of LP mp3s myself (around 900 in fact), so I may have all the mp3s the site plans on hosting already. So what would be useful is a complete list of all the mp3s you want to host. That way, I can send my friend the mp3s from my collection without you guys having to do anything, and we can get this set up pretty quick most likely.

    How is there over 900 LP mp3's? :mellow: i never knew they had so many.

    if this doesnt work out for you guys ill ask some people i know to see if they've got unmetered bandwidth and the space to share with you.

    Then he needs to change his password through My Controls because this is starting to get ridiculous. I've been believing the claims that he's gettin hacked for a long time but the more it goes on, the more it starts to smell a bit false.

    changed it back, argh! im gonna change my password like you said, because somebody is screwing with my stuff, and im starting to get more than slightly PO'd. :angry:

    Edit: I've also been getting a lot of spyware, viruses, etc. lately on my computer. i'm using a cable connection, which i know is pretty open to hackers. maybe somebody is hijacking me and screwing with my stuff :wth:
