Hybrid Theory is my favorite album of all time....its just original and its like nothing else...it should have its own genre of music...well i guess its linkin park...but i dunno....whenever i listen to hybrid theory i cant compare to any other bands or any other type of music....hybrid theory is one of a kind! Whenever i hear it i feel the same way i heard it for the first time. my emotions just sink into the music....i always gut a rush listening to hybrid theory...it wont ever get old......anyways post your thoughts of hybrid theory

I think HT is something very special and your right, it isn't comparable with any other known music.Everything sounds so spontane and it doesn't matter, how often you've listened to it it's everytime a new experience!!

Am I the only one,or is Meteora not as half so great as Hybrid Theory??

When HT came out, it was a revolution. Something new. And the album has really been worked on, so the results were just amazing. Meteora is great, but what was a revolution is now normal, so it's really hard to do something again really different..

I agree...and it's explainable...when you have a bunch of six tallented musicians like Hybrid Theory (not yet LP), and each one of them has it's own unique matterial [some have had it for couple of years- demos etc.], and each one influences the other, you'll eventually get a HT as a best-seller... ;)

Nothing can compare to HT. Not even Meteora can top it :p :D

I agree. Meteora is great. but absolutely nothing can compare to the original ideas with HT. No matter if I listened to it for the first time, the hundredth time or the millionth time, it always feels like something new and fresh is coming at my ears.

I think that while Hybrid Theory was a great album, Meteora gave LP a chance to really polish up their skills. Overall, I liked Meteora more than Hybrid Theory.

Hybrid Theory is just... perfect. I dunno how else to put it. I dunno how many times I've listened to it, (I got it when it first came out) and I still listen to it, and it just never gets old. Never.

its kinda weird. When LP was recording Meteora, they said that they had a lot more oppertunities for recording, but most people like HT over Meteora.

HT is one of a kind, ive come to love more and more since downloading demos of the whole albumn from when they were just starting out with HT, it just shows how much work they put in to to get it perfect, and still when listening to it you feel the energy
starting with the intro to papercut all the way to the end of pushing me away

Hybird Theory (Linkin Park actually) did create a new genre of music. That genre is a hybird of Rap/Metal/Electronica. Truly one of a kind.

I don't think anyone can ever release something even close to the creativity of Hybrid Theory. The album is just so original with songs so brilliant (there is not one song I hate on the album)- the album pretty much defines everything music can and should be.

I think HT is an absolutely brilliant album, but I feel that Meteora is even better...it's so evolved...I don't know how else to describe it...but HT is a VERY close second though, I love it so much...I've had it for soooooo long, ever since it came out, and it never EVER gets old. :rob:

LP said they wanted their music to have a timeless quality so that it wouldn't sound like it was following the latest music trend and so that it would always sound fresh - they certainly accomplished that. And they did work alot longer on HT than Meteora - I think if they spent more time on Meteora, it would match a little more closely to HT's greatness. Meteora is an amazing CD, definitely one of the best CD's in the world, but I don't know, it doesn't have that same Hybrid Theory feeling. It takes them long enough already for them to release a new album, but in the long run, it's well worth it
