I heard they never done it live because it's too complicated with it's multiple layers and shit. Why not just have Chester and Mike sing together over piano. Let Brad and Dave sing too. Who cares if it has to be stripped down. I really want them to play this song live. It's possible.
It is possible, Chester would need some samples to pull off the end. Or just clone Chester. Yea the first one.
I know this is a pretty shitty solution, but Skrillex can play impossibly complex songs live just by pressing 'Play' on his Macbook. I realize it would detract from the quality of the performance, but surely Linkin Park can come up with a simple solution too.
I've mentioned this before and it's the most likely way the band would play Robot Boy Live. - MIKE: Sings and plays the piano - CHESTER: Sings and plays a secondary drum - BRAD: Sings, plays synths, and switches to Guitar - Phoenix: Sings and plays synths - JOE: More singing, and synths - ELECTRONICS: more backing synths and a slightly lower volume backing vocals played on top of the live vocals That'd be the only way to perform the song. And if a stripped down version is desired then just remove instruments from above^
