I'm on a torrent site and i need to upload a lot but i don't know what's wrong with my torrents all of them upload at 0 kb's, just the other day i had a torrent uploading at 30kb's (that was a miracle) all i get now are speeds of 0,1 or maybe 3 kb's.can anyone help me?
Well, it all obviously depends on the activity/strength of the torrent you've downloaded. If you've grabbed a torrent with many more seeders than leechers, the chance one of the leechers is going to use you as a seeder is much less. You should forward your ports, however, to help maximize your capacity. http://www.portforward.com
1. Research various ISPs available able to you in your area 2. After you made your decision based on the best price for fastest possible speed, find their phone number 3. Find a phone. 4. Dial the number. 5. Listen to the automated machine, and speak the associated word associated with signing up/upgrading your service 6. Please hold. 7. Enjoy the terrible music currently being played. Try not to tear your eardrums apart yet, you'll need them for the next step 8. Tell the outsourced foreigner you wish to sign up/upgrade to the super fast plan you researched in step 1. 9. Run around your computer area as they ask you to do various tests, which half the time are useless, but waste your time anyways 10. After finally passing the tests, you'll be told you should get your service in a few days 11. Thank the kind person and hang up. 12. Sit down and bitch at your slow internet as you wait a week for your new internet connection. 13. Call them back a week later to find out they messed something up and haven't upgraded you yet [happened to me.] 14. Enjoy the hold music. Again, please refrain from tearing your ears off, it doesn't look pleasant. 15. Run around your computer area as they ask you to do various tests, which half the time are useless, but waste your time anyways because they're trying to shift the blame onto you because something messed up - it can't be their fault. 16. Enjoy the hold music again. Put down the knife, as hard as it may be to resist. 17. After nearly hanging yourself, the rep will come back on the line telling you they've fixed the problem. 18. Run a speed test to verify the problem is fixed. 19. Amazing, you now have blistering fast internets. 20. Listen to quality music downloaded off your exclusive torrent site as reward for the terrible hold music. Couldn't resist the joke, as I went through that. Mark knows what he's talking about.
I am having the same problem...I can't upload at all. I used to be able to on a different computer. Unless it is just because these torrent have too many seeds.
90% of the time, that's the case. In case you didn't know, the bittorrent network is designed to favour the faster uploader. So chances are, if you have the best connection, you'll have no problems uploading, but if you're the opposite, then you're bummed outta luck, as the guy with the 100/100mbps seedbox is going to screw you over.
