just some quick advice please here's my story.. my computers hard drive died the other day (and it wasn't backed up *bad times* - so heed my warning children.. back that sh*t up!!) but now I'm all up and running again I'm having trouble logging into Hotmail I've gone through the obvious procedures on the sign in screen but I'm still having no joy, I'm starting to think it might have something to do with the fact I was signed in with my old hard drive? But saying that I can still access my emails using my iphone.. I'm totally at a loss now - and I'm clueless. Help greatly appreciated -JJ
Your hard drive has nothing to do with hotmail authentication. The only part of authentication that would involve the hard drive is where your browser asks to store your password. The solution to that would be to remember your password right. Check your caps lock. If that does not work, state specifically what the error is. If there's none, it's probably an issue with their end. Or you dont have browser settings right.
thanks for the reply I only ever use two passwords - I've tried both and still nothing.. I keep getting 'That password is incorrect. Try again.' Is there anyway of getting round this issue?
Talk to Microsoft. You are typing your password wrong. For now, stand up, walk away and do something else for a while. Come back later and try again. In the future, use an email service that allows it to be tied to another email service for safety. You should have more than one email address.
