Personally, this is my list of things I hope get done.

    1. Have a song in the style of "And One" ending verse.
    2. Have Joe show up and scratch some
    3. Have Jurrasic 5 on there!
    4. Make a song thats longer than 3 freaky deaky minutes
    5. Have mature lyrics, not all bashing emcees and stuff like "Grap your crotch, slap ya bee-otch"
    6. Some darker lyrics[Forgoten from Reanimation], not just happy-go-lucky party songs and beats
    7. Put some more Japinese flute and some orchastra in there, make it beautful.

Well thats the basics, I have faith Mike wont let me down, this is just a silly wish list of things, some might come true, others prolly not; whats yours?

I can see Mike doing a really slow piano song interlaced with rap vocals. That'd rule.

Calling out emcees is one of Mike's talents. Ex: "Step Up".

If you listened to the interview, Mike's doing all the instruments, not Joe.

#s 4-7 on your list are the ones I feel strongest about. I'd also like to see Kanye West on there.

As long as the tracks deal with actual issues and have real meaning, i'll be happy. I don't want, like you said, Mike rapping about bitches and ho's. Although, i'm pretty sure that won't happen.

Either way, I cannot wait for this album, this has always been needed, Mike is a nessecity to the rap genre, and here he comes baby.

I dont want Joe (or any LP member for that matter) appearing on here because it kind of defeats the purpose of a solo album. Yeah maybe some solo artists have had appearances by their bandmates on their CDs, but if Joe did work on here it would give people a lot of reason to think that Mike cant make it on his own outside of Linkin Park.

The fact he's doing every instrument and producing is a good idea. If this CD comes out any bit as great as it should, it will greately change people's opinions of Mike..and possibly even Linkin Park just because of Mike being talented.

Personally I wanna see Mike explore new lyrical areas like he did on the HBMS track as well as go back to his large vocabulary (i.e. It's Going Down) and awesome production skills (Enjoy The Silence). If he milks all his availible talents on this record and puts his heart and soul into it rather then think of it as just a 'fool around record', it'll be amazing.

I have 0 feeling this album is gonna suck. I've been thinking Mike should go solo for over 2 years now.

*EDIT* For god's sake people! Stop being so greedy about LP's next record. It's NOT going to be pushed back '2 more years' and its probably gonna be out in 2006 like they've been saying it will for MONTHS now. Chill and stop being so greedy.

My hopes is that this cd will come sooner than later. So basically I'm just saying I cant wait to get this cd. Like I've stated before this is the best news I've heard in a few months now, so yah call me sheltered but this is gonna rule. Honestly I could care less when Lp is gonna put out thier next cd, give me five shinoda solo albums then another Lp album and I'll be one happy camper.

actually i can see Mike doing most of his songs to just steady instrumenatls in the back ground. instead of a constant bass beat, and some drums. i think i might actuall pick this record up, and im not even into rap that much

I wonder if he will have any instrumentals on this album.
I think he will have Joe featured on one of the tracks, because Joe just has that scratch ability B)

Of course, this defeats the whole purpose of a solo album, as Derek pointed out.

Mike also said he was doing all the instruments, and when he says it was all him, he doesn't secretly mean Joe.

Unless he's like, demented or something.

I expect the beats on this album to be hot. I mean, the use of samples in Nobody's Listening... sick man.

you can still feature other musicians.
Mike said he would play NEARLY every insrument......I dont know about you...but I have never seen Mike scratch and if this is going to be a hip-hop album, your gonna need some scratching (unless he digitally does it on a music program.)

And whoever said a rap album cant have an instrumental
