Hoobastank has announced that their new album, Every Man for Himself, will be released on April 18th via Island Records. The first single from the record, "If I Were You," can be previewed here. You can also listen to the full version of the song if you are a member of Hoobastank.com.
Doesn't sound too bad, pretty radio friendly as expected. I've never really been a fan of Hoobastank so it's hard to get into any of this.
It does sound very radio friendly but it sounds like a clone of 'The Reason' to me. I will listen to the album when it does come out
I like this song more than the reason but it might be because I've listened to The Reason like 8,000 times.
You can listen to the entire thing on music.aol.com, for any of you non hoobastank.com members. I heard it. It was nothing special.
Heavily awaiting the new album although I hope it's not just 13 The Reason sound-a-likes because I seem to like their faster, more agressive songs like Let It Out, Pieces and Crawling in the Dark.
I'm sorry but I just can't get into this song at all. I'm still going to check out the rest of the album though, since I am still a fan and liked their other 2 CD's
What a contradicting name for the album and the name of the first single. "Every Man for Himself" and "If I Were You." Quite frankly if you were me then it would be quite hard ot have everyman for himself. That awful contradiction to me is a really big setup for a dissapointing album from Hoobastank for me and I havn't even heard the song yet. Maybe I am just looking into it too much. Edit: Wow, what a umm.... similar souding song to the reason.
Wow. The beginning with the kids laughing and the toy piano reminded me of Sesame Street. The Reason Pt. 2 is decent. I'll check out the album and see if they have anything different sounding.
I'm pretty sure you looked into that way too far. "Every Man for Himself" is probably the title of another song on the CD.
Yah but to me the title of your album should reflect your album as a whole. Thats why I tinhk its kinda lazy and unartistic to just name your album after a song on it.
