Personally I use Jasc Animation Shop to split the clips I wish to use in a normal signiture - then I just tweak the position of the clip within the image (normally frame by frame) and see how it runs. If I like it I'll use it - but because of how difficult these can sometimes be - I avoid them
A way of making video clips in a sig By [Fool] Open Up windows movie maker and then import the video you want to use. You can then skip through the video frame by frame and take a screenshot of each using the button in movie maker. Save it somewhere you can find it and save each screenie as a sensible and logical name so that you can find out which order to put them. Once you have all of your frames, shut movie maker, no need to save anything. Launch your animating program, my prefered program is Adobe ImageReady, add as many frames as you have screen shots. Make the rest of the sig first or you may have difficulty later Once you have all of your sig made add in your screenshots of your film, making sure you start at number one (Or the last one if you want it to go backwards), position each layer as you paste it in, set the time delays to around 0.01 secs this ensures smooth standard rate playback (Not to fast, Not to slow) Play your sig and make sure nothing moves from frame to frame. Refine, retune and get your sig the way you want it. Remeber 1. Not too many frames as files can get pretty BIG 2. Be 56k friendly, its ok for broadbanders, but unfiar on 56ker's 3. Have Fun and be creative Hope this helps [Fool]
There is a more in-depth (and less tedious) tutorial on my site: spam. You have to join the forum to see it though.
Since you have to join your forums in order to view such content, I have to consider that spam. Why not just post them here rather than making someone sign up?
pwnd. Mind fixing that title? For some reason it's bugging the hell outta me seeing 'Hod' instead of 'How'
