Hit the floor

from what ive seen,not that many people like it,are you one of the hardcore fans of it?

It's a great song and Chester sounds awesome on it, but I think it's one of the weaker songs on Meteora. Just like "Easier to Run", it's a bit slow going and all very similar. If you have software to do so give it an arbitrary tempo change up of about 10%. It starts to sound a lot better then as it's faster.

The lyrics are genius, Chester's screaming is awesome... but for some reason, "Hit The Floor" just isn't that exiting. I personally think it's probably all becuase the rest of "Meteora" is fast-paced and exiting, so "Hit The Floor" doesn't live up to that.

never could build up a friendship on this song. lyrics are great, especially the chorus "one minute youre on top, the next youre not, watch you drop". its really a heavy song with razorblade guitars (or somethin like that) and chesters lovely screams. i dunno...id prefer figure09 or dont stay for moshing

Hit The Floor is one of my favorite songs off of Meteora....

 

It's definitely not the best song on Meteora, but it's still good.

I've read a lot since Meteora (here and the LPMB) was released that not a lot of people liked Hit the Floor. But personally, I don't see what there isn't to like. I really digg this song.

Hit the Floor is one of my favorites. I've never understood people's disliking for it :wth:

 

Its really good, not one of there bests but its still good.

 

I don't mind Hit The Floor, I listen to occasionally. I like how Chester screams and Mike raps, it reminds me of when Linkin Park really were the two, most of their songs are now all rock.

The ONLY thing I dislike about the song is the repetitive guitar.....as a rhythm guitar....it would have been perfect.....but by itself it just didnt give the song what it required....

Other than that I love the songs.....Lyrics are genius and dark compared to the lyrics on the rest of the album.....The chorus has a unique heavy sound, I like the distressed bell track......and I really like the voice manipulation done on Mikes voice.

Its one of the best tracks on Meteora in my opinion. I also think its probably the best produced track on the album as well.....
I dont understand why so many fans cant get into it....
but atleast you dont feel you are jumping on the band wagon for liking it
