This is a persuasive paper I wrote about the diverse plant hemp.
I am amazed by the many uses of hemp and I wanted to share this information with all of you!

Please write any thoughts you have about this topic. I'd be very interested to hear them!

And let me know if anyone wants to run off and start a hemp farm with me up in Canada or a campaign here in the US... ;)

Quick note on my signature picture: they are standing in a Candian Hemp field. It looks a lot like its cousin, Marijana, but it has no cannabinoids. It actually has Anti-cannabinoids it it takes away a high, rather than giving you one! Pretty crazy!

Its ironic you posted this as we were just discussing hemp in the Obama thread. Very well written essay. I agree with all of it. Hemp needs to be legalized.

    :D!

    Thank you ^_^

Isn't it amazing how many problems would be solved by hemp? It has to be one of the closest things to perfect in the world...

Only one issue... It would contribute to 'global warming'/climate change as much as any other hydrocarbon, as it is still going to be releasing C02 and H20, into the atmosphere when burnt, as well as C0 and Carbon due to our innefficient combustion engines.

Other than that, I totally agree with you, and as something of an environmentalist, believe that this is one of the realistic ways we can achieve genuine sustainability. Well done :)

The amount and toxicity of emissions from Hemp based fuel are far LESS than a cigarette!

Not to mention Coal burning, Fossil fuel burning, Nuclear energy... and it has FAR FAR less effect on the environment than the dramatic effects of damming for hydro electric power.

And I'm not saying we don't need to build more efficient engines! Actually, the tech has been around for a very long time, it is the big gas companies keeping a hold of that tech as so they can make as much profit as possible! Hemp production and use would destroy the hold big oil has on this country and send us into a whole new technological age!

I am interested to lean about the new Algae fuel! As you may know Algae has become an epidemic and oceans, rivers, lakes, everywhere.. it has a direct correlation to human usage and it is a fascinating new idea! I'd like to see Algae fuel and Hemp fuel being competitors for all of our cars which run 159mi/gal!

Hemp is the best for our global environment only surpassed by solar energy on every car and house!

Hemp is good, but solar is the future in terms of energy.

Hemp is probably the future in hydrocarbon production, making polymers and so on that we currently use crude oil for.
