Now I've been on the forum long enough not to ask for MP3's but I'm not asking for them...I am pleading help on finding the Grey Daze album 'Wake Me'.....I have looked fucking everywhere and I cannot seem to find it anywhere.I want an original copy.Could someone please shed some light on where I might be able to find what I'm looking for? Thanks in advance
you could try ebay - iam sure there where a few copies flying about on there. if not just search the net and buy them off a site that deals with cds. i know for a fact that its really hard to get a copy of that album in the UK. thats your open invitation to prove me wrong UKers
Thats the thing...I've checked on both Ebay UK and Ebay U.S. and there are no copys at all. Obviously this means that only like 5000 copys were ever made and its gonna cost like £500 just for postage...
Buy the album.
iam all out of ideas if ebay doesnt have one on offer..... wont amazon or something like amazon have it?
iam all out of ideas if ebay doesnt have one on offer..... wont amazon or something like amazon have it?
No...I bought 'No Sun Today' for less than a tener though
u can buy no sun today on itunes because that is what i did. and a while back another lp fansite had a couple of wake me records for sale. keep looking because one time i did see the entire wake me album available for download on a lp fansite. it was a crazy thing to do and only so many people took advantage of it.
I think he wants the actual CD album, not the downloaded files. Sorry man, can't help you out. It's just a case of playing the waiting game over at Ebay I think.
There's a couple things I can think of, I think the Grey Daze albums were released on a label called Orchard Records, maybe if it's still around you could order one from them or something. There's also a chance that an independent record store might have one, probably used though. It isn't easy to find the original copies, believe me I've tried.
A few things to remember... 'Wake Me' is the rarer of the 2 and only pops up on eBay once in awhile. I searched for over a year before I got my copy, which I had to purchase using the 'Buy It Now' option. Last thing I wanted happening was a bidding war or losing in the last few moments of the auction. No Sun Today actually had 2 releases - the original pressing from 1997 and a reissued copy in 2000 (possibly coinciding with the release of Waterface's CD, the band that Sean moved on to after Grey Daze). The original pressing will obviously go for more, but most sellers don't know the difference between the 2. I'd suggest searching eBay closer to the time that LP's next album album comes out (or The Rising Tied/Chester's solo CDs) as people are always looking to capitalize on bands/performers when their popularity is the highest.
2001 actualy Don't worry,I know as much as I need to know about the albums. Just out of curiosity how much did you buy it for? I bought No Sun Today for less than £10
2000, 2001... Same thing. LOL Got No Sun Today in a trade with another LP fan... Gave up a signed copy of the Meteora book... So whatever retail price was at the time the book was realeased plus the time/effort my friend out in to get it signed for me. Wake Me... Set me back a bit, but not as much as some of the other items in my collection. B)
