A lot of people hate Trapt’s album because not every song is intense like ’’Headstrong’’ is but it’s a great album nonetheless. Buy it if you like ’’Echo’’ and ’’Headstrong.’’ I’d say that about half the CD is mellow, Incubus-like rock and the other half is hard-hitting like ’’Headstrong.’’

It's got some high points, and some low points. An average album in my opinion. I'd suggest another band, like Smile Empty Soul, Three Days Grace, Finger Eleven, Lostprophets, Cold, etc. I'd really recommend testing out the first two if you like some of the Trapt stuff, because they have stellar albums, whereas Trapt's is somewhat dull.

Oh yes. and 3 Days Grace was up in the air for me too.
Hmmm... i kinda see what you guys mean. Do they have any good lyrical content (trapt)?

Trapt has pretty amazing lyrics. They’re better than 90% of the other lyrics you hear in the mainstream.

I strongly suggest you look for Bloodflowers or Disintegration by The Cure. Or you could buy Otep's Sevas Tra.

but no one really listens to me when I suggest bands, so listen to Will & Mark if you want mainstream bands.

If I was you I would find someone who has the Trapt cd and burn it.

I actually bought it and I only like the first 6 songs on it. It's a pretty decent album but it's one of those albums that I wished I had burned instead of bought.

Yes, but they just don't give much life to many of the songs.

    What she said.

I listened to you with Cave In, didn't I? People take your suggestions more then they take mine, so no complaining ;) :)

    I don't know, did you?

What I'm getting at is that people don't want to take the time do discover really, really good bands. They want the mainstream ####.

It's a good CD to me really. It's a very different sound though, it's kinda poppy. But it's good. If your going for somthing more 'hard' I wouldn't buy it if I was you.

It'd be better if you didn't call them "sh*t", you may not like them, but that doesn't mean you have to go and slag them because they're not in your tastes. I could call your stuff "sh*t" but I have more respect than that.

no no, I wasn't calling them #### Mark. That's just the way I talk.

I always substitute stuff for ####. Sorry.

I wasn't calling the mainstream stuff that. :p

    no hard feelings

In a manly way of course.

On-Topic: Uh..dig deep into unknown bands, you're bound to find something that you like.

The only Trapt song I really love is "Made Of Glass". "Headstrong" is a nice and catchy song with great hooks, very easy to sing along to. All of their stuff are very melodic but like most people have said, it's an average album. If you're into catchy melodic rock, it should suit you though. :D

The demo of Headstrong is amazing mainly because the guitars are heavier, and the chorus starts off "F*ck off, I'll take you on."

There really isn't a bad song on the cd, which is a rare case in these days. Although, the downside to that is from a first time listen, you may think they are all monotonous. If you like the singles, go for it. If not, don't look for anything tremendously different from them accept perhaps the drumless 'Stories'.
