So my name is Cillian and I'm totally new here, never even lurked. I've only heard of this site mentioned over the years on other boards (LPU, LP.com). Anyway earlier I was skimming some of the comments on that "Response to Comments" blog post of Mike's over on MS.com, face-palming like there's no tomorow (that sounds a little weird...) at all the comments that read like: "My opinion is that you (Linkin Park) have no respect for fans and spit on the plate where you ate heavily for years." The sheer amount of nagging and idiotic comments really struck me and I suddenly had an urge to see if it was like this throughout other LP related sites (LP.com was OK before the change a few months back but now it's a mess, poor structure, teenies everwhere). LPA was the first one that came to mind so I came here and went straight to the MS related thread and found!...... an actual conversation! I read through the thread and the users come off as pretty cool reasonable people and no whiney teenies in sight. "Great!" I think to myself, "I'm joining" So here I am..... hi!
Hey, welcome to the LPA! Great first post and judging by your like-mindedness, you're going to fit in really well here. It's always good to meet people who are on the same level. Hope you stick around and enjoy yourself.
You came to the right place. Not only have we been a teenie free forum since we opened in 2002, but we also have none of that stuff you saw in the MS.com comments. We're all big fans of the band here, and therefore I think you'll enjoy it a lot. Thanks for joining, and please stick around here and continue to post. You seem like someone who could really be a great contributor to these boards.
