Is anyone here a fan? I've only heard the ''Where Do I Stab Myself In The Ears'' remix and it's awesome. I've also heard ''Niki FM'' but I don't really like it. People think I'm weird because I only like that one song, but who cares.
I can't stand them and they're from around here too. There's just hardly any originality from song to song...they used about 6 chords total on the entire Silence in Black and White album. Niki FM and Ohio Is for Lovers are based around the same three chords, and the screaming parts (my own/i know) sound exactly the same. They're one of those bands that can write one good song that turns out a big hit, but they can't write songs that are any different.
Assuming you're referring to LP, I think Hawthorne Heights is a step or two below them as far as writing the same song over and over.
I'm not really a huge fan of Hawthorne Heights, but I didn't not enjoy If Only You Were Lonely. And who cares if bands play songs that sound the same? If you think Linkin Park does that, you're right, but there's NOTHING wrong with that. I'd be pissed if Linkin Park changed their sound. I want to listen to Linkin Park when I play Linkin Park...If I dont want to hear stuff that sounds like Linkin Park I'll listen to something else. Linkin Park songs sound similar, yes, but only similar, not identical...They're all unique, in my eyes.
Linkin Park only writes two types of songs - the slow songs, and the hard songs. Then there's the solo Chester songs with little input from Mike (a verse or two), and the Mike solo tracks, with the chorus from Chester. That's generally how a LP record goes.
Congradulations you know how the band sounds. Are you complaining or something? Seriously, I see nothing wrong with it.

i must admit im bored with them too. anyways, hawthorne heights, i heard a few of their songs and thought they were ok, but at my school they automatically suck coz everyone thinks they're emo, i hate it when people decide that from one or two songs or how they dress or whatever, and it annoys me when people say someone is something from not even noing them (ok going off on something else now, ill shut up)
well of course they're sticking with what makes money cause they need money to live off of! if they change their sound they'll lose their contract then lose money and not be able to support their families so they're doing a smart thing until their contract runs out. anyway if you're tired of LP why are you even posting here still this is called Linkin Park Association for Linkin Park fans!
Cool, the "if you don't like LP, why are you posting here" argument. Like that hasn't been tried before. Anyways, I'm sure Chester, Mike & Co. have enough money to last them a lifetime. It's not like if they change their sound and don't sell 13 million copies of their next album in a month that they won't still be raking in the cash. Sometimes you Linkin Park fans are really close-minded.
i'm pretty sure i'm one of the few people here who can listen to a hawthorne heights album and enjoy it. there's something about the music that i really like. i don't know. i like it. and i'm not fucking emo.
I'm not closed-minded, I like every type of music that's out there I'm not saying LP is the only stuff that's good but I just hate when "fans" start saying a band they "like" is getting boring obviously you're not much of a fan if you think the band's songs are getting boring.
I'm not a fan anymore. I stopped being a fan a few months after Meteora. And even if I was, it's called not following a band blindly.
A fan doesn't have to be a fanATIC. I enjoy the music but they ARE getting boring. Are you saying that fans should have nothing bad or criticizing to say about a band? Because that's the only way you grow, through criticism. And who cares what type of fan you are? It's not like your definition of fan is going to change the way I listen to music.
