Happy birthday, Meteora!

I looked at the calendar today and realized it was March 25th, 2012. The 9th anniversary of Meteora!

9 years ago today, I was sweating bullets because it was a Tuesday and I had school. This meant I had to give my mom money and beg her to get to the store early so that I could have the deluxe edition (blue cover w/ dvd) in my hands by 3:00 PM. The school day dragged on and all I wanted to do was listen to the new album over and over and over. And then I had baseball practice that night, which meant I STILL couldn't listen to it as much as I wanted to. I remember listening to Figure.09 on the way to practice and thinking "holy shit this is awesome!"

God I was so young, I just remember being obssesed with somewhere I belong, and then getting the cd because of it. Been obsessed with the band since

 

Wow, 9 years already, where does the time go? I was such a crazy 18 year old kid back then, now I'll be 28 later this year and... Yeah, I'm still that crazy kid today!

I remember how I had to wait 3 days after the release. That was the longest wait for a paycheck ever!

Although Meteora is my least favorite Linkin Park album, I still enjoy some of the songs off the album today with many fond memories.

 

Happy B'day Meteora! This album was my first Linkin Park Album. Seems like yesterday I went from the record store to home and put the cd into my Walkman. So Foreword comes on then Don't Stay, no shit i was jamming and my battery died :/. I was hooked after I heard the intro and first song, been a hardcore LP fan since !

 

My third favorite Album of all time! Also the album that got me into LP!

 

Has it been that long? I remember "Numb" being the first LP song I ever heard.

 

Same! Numb was my first LP song, and I instantly fell in Love!

 

Happy birthday the suckiest album ever produced by them. Minus the fact Somewhere I Belong got me into them. We won't dwell on that.
