Just a discussion about Halo, Halo 2 and if you got news for Halo 3..post that aswell. Post your favourite levels, weapons, multiplayer levels etc. My favourite gun has to be the shotgun or the sniper. Sneaking up from behind and blast an 8 gauge bullet through their back
Both great games Fav level(s) from Halo 1 multiplayer wise is damnation, and single player is The Silent Cartographer Fav level(s) from Halo 2 multiplayer wise is Zanzibar, dunno about single player, I loved the little glitches in Halo 2's multiplayer like sword flying and also superjumps
As a Half Life fan and a gamer, I tried out Halo 2 for about 5 hours a couple of weeks ago. I really have no idea why people compared the Halo games to the Half Life series. Halo and Halo 2 are the most boring, overhyped, hard-to-control games I have ever played. Console shooters are bad, but these are just... blah!
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Go on tour. Seriously. You're funny. The game's are easy to control if you don't suck.
I play Halo 1 multiplayer over Halo 2. I enjoy the maps a lot more and having health with the overshield thing is a lot better to than just the overshield.
does this have anything to do with halo 3? rumors say that it is from the creators of the ilovebees site whic was used to announce halo 2 http://hex168.com/
Im with Neil on Halo. (exception of the controls, they're decent). I mean console shooters are alright though, it's just that the PC owns the consoles ass when it comes to FPS.
Halo 2 is the most addictive game ever. I have no problems with the controls. If you didn't notice, there's numerous thumbstick layouts and look sensitivities that you can change to customize to your preference, I'm currently on default controls with a 3 sensitivity. It's actually one of the easiest to control games I've ever played. May I suggest you have a bias towards PC shooters, Neil? My two most played game modes are Rumble Pit (level 24) and Big Team Battle (level 28). I consider myself an above average player, but not amazing. I can usually beat level 30s (their overall level, not a level 30 in Rumble Pit, that's incredibly tough to get) in the aforementioned modes. Fave levels: Lockout, Ascension, Terminal, Midship, Headlong. Favorite weapon combo: SMG + Pistol. Favorite weapon: Human Sniper Rifle. I still play close to 2 hours of Halo 2 per day. My brother's worse, he's at about 4-5 hours per day. I hate standbyers and bridgers. Modding is down, so I can't complain. Bungie and XBOX Live have done a good job of cutting down on cheaters.
I find the controls on the XBOX versions of Halo hard to control. But then again, I never play console FPS, so I'm not used to it. I have the PC version of Halo and like it.
Wrong. Counter-Strike is the most addictive game ever. It's like a drug I like Halo's multiplayer and the controls are easy as hell, but any PC FPS blows it away.
I havent played Halo 2 on multiplayer. Maybe this weekend with some others. I hate small maps though I like those long, stretched out levels like Blood Gulch, Sidewinder (??) and Hang 'em High. For Halo 2, I like the one they used for Red vs. Blue with the talking bomb.

[/b][/quote] I agree totally with Counter-Strike comment. I believe Halo is the standard for console FPSs. Not all PC FPSs are better than Halo. I think people prefer PC FPSs because of the precision of the mouse but I'd take Xbox Halo over PC Halo anyday and on the other hand I'd take PC Counter-Strike over Xbox Counter-Strike anyday.
I don't think Halo 3 will be released around the PS3 launch date unless the PS3 is pushed to a Q4 release and even then I'd still doubt Halo 3 being done by then. And if it is, I believe it will be a rushed, half-assed product that will be bad for the series. Unless Bungie has many tricks up their sleeve and have been working on the game longer than assumed.
