Is that halo too tight around your neck?

    Calm the mind, forget everything…
Forsake your beliefs, deliver us salvation…

Is that halo too tight around your neck?

Suffered too much to let it go…
Bled to much to not let them know…

Is that halo too tight around your neck?

The sun dawns a new day…
    Of destruction and death…

Is that halo suffocating you yet?

You will pay for all of the death…
    We will make you pay…

    Are you still the breathing?

    The voices in my head…
    They too want you dead…

The reflections and shadows in your eyes…
    Do not veil your fear…

    Your without anyone…

    We are too late…
    What have we done now?

    Your suffocating now...
    All alone...
    Choking...dying...
    All alone...

Good lyrical theme here, Shane...just the line "Your without anyone" begs for improvement, although I see your idea ;)

And you may wanna read "Halo" by Porcupine Tree, as the song has some themes you might like....great basslines too:
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    "God is in my fingers
    God is in my head
    God is in the trigger
    God is in the lead

God is freedom, God is truth
God is power and God is proof
God is fashion, God is fame
God gives meaning, God gives pain

You can be right like me
With God in the hole you're a righteous soul
I got a halo round me, I got a halo round me
I'm not the same as you
Cos I've seen the light and I'm gaining in height now
I got a halo round me, I got a halo round me
I got a halo round my head

    God is on the cellphone
    God is on the net
    God is in the warning
    God is in the threat"

Thank you both for the replies. I do realize this isn't my best work, oh well.

Jeff: I liked how you fit in the "great basslines too" part. Get on MSN sometime so we can catch up, haven't seen you on for a couple of weeks it seems.
