I don't peticularly like the Halo franchise all that much, but why would they make a movie? Bad, bad move. Movies tend to change people's opinion on the game, and they will lose popularity.

 

Bungie doesn't want a movie to be made. And they said that if a movie was to be made, it would have to be the right time, the right story and the right people. They don't want the movie to be a remake of a game, if one is to be made. It would be a tie-in, like the novels The Fall of Reach and First Strike. Everything is pure rumor.

 

I'd love to see it happen but alas, no good movie has come from a game. And in August 2005, even Doom will fall to this curse.

How could it be anything other than an action fest story-less shoot em up like the game? defiantely when the rock is set to star in it. LIke i said before, the best game to movie would be Deus Ex, couldnt go wrong there, consperacies and a dark underworld would make a great movie, Doom, Halo2, Half-Life2, would not do to well on the big screen as far as being good, i'm sure they would make boat loads of money though.

Half-Life creator also met with some people from hollywood about making a moive, and in the quote, the creator Gabe Newell said, "After they talked about turning into a love story, we went home laughing like crazy" and he also said it could happen, but give it the right people, which is next to impossible.
