I was always interested in that whole marketing campaign. What with the changing text on that Bees site and all. They went into discussion about it on Icons (Bungie) on G4, but not into great detail. They talked about it for maybe a minute. So, anyone want to outline how it started, what happen on the site leading up to the release of Halo 2, etc etc?
Basicly, here's what happened in the shortest way I can say it. On August 25, people had to go to pay phones/phonebooths and dial a number. They than get a operator and say a specific "code". Then once a ceartin number of calls were reached, a audio file was unlocked. This was turned into a series which showed the human side of things from the end of Halo: The First Strike up to when the alien guys come with a small fleet than go to Africa and all that crap. Here are the audio files if you want to hear them. It's kinda like a side story with no real meaning towards the main Halo story line.
