Guitar Playing

I have just started to learn to play guitar... i have had my guitar for 2 and half years.. and have just been bothered to start to learn...

Does one know any easy songs to play? Preferablly metal songs.. i can play the intro the Enter Sandman by Metallica.. but i think everyone can.

Please name an easy song.. and maybe a link to the tabs.

try Deep Purple. it's easy and it's fun to do. I guess I couldn't call this metal but you can try any White Stripes song as well.

 

Rage Against The Machine & Green Day have some heavier riffs that are fun to play..
Trust me, your skill level is about as far as I got with guitar.

Try songs by SOAD they are pretty easy.Also try NIrvana songs

Try some simple songs that aren't in drop tunings, because trust me, trying to learn songs by bands like SOAD, LP, Disturbed, etc., that drop-tune their guitars when you're just starting playing is just gonna screw up your technique.

AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Nirvana (most songs), Beatles, Rolling Stones, most of their songs are based off simple patterns of 2 to 4 chords.

 

A really easy and cool sounding song is System of a Downs Prison Song. Also, A place for my head is pretty easy too.

 

Some fun songs to play...

Foo Fighters - Everlong (accoustic version is VERY fun)
Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit (I mean, come on)
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under The Bridge (I can amuse myself for long periods of time just playing the intro)

And I mean, EVERYONE knows Deep Purple - Smoke On The Water. Even if you don't know guitar, you can play it. =]

 

lol, I knew how to play Smoke on the Water before I even got my guitar.
