Any guesses on where the game is going to take place and during what year? My guess is the 70s, why? well because they were playing commercials of the countdown during that 70s show on FX, so it could be a clue. Anyways I cant wait! only a few hours and minutes to go.

It's going to be present day as far as I'm concerned. They've shown that countdown on FX during random times actually including the first half hour/hour when they go into paid programming.

Uhhh...is it gonna be up at 5 instead? When I go there the countdown currently says like 17 minutes left.

Maybe it's because I set my computer clock an hour forward because of early Daylight Savings or something (it didn't do it automatically).

Ahh well, I'm excited to see this.

I think it would be funny if it was a revamp of GTA London: 1969.

    Anyways, WOO! 30 minutes!

OMG. That looks amazing. I was going to wait until they showed it on FX (saw the countdown last night, confused the hell out of me), but I couldn't resist. I can't wait to play GTA on next generation consoles... Imagine if they add in the Havok game engine! AHH! (w00t)

Hmm.. I think I'll just copy what I said in Random Thoughts with edits due to the thread change:

It looks amazing, but I wish they would have had at least one clip of a hooker being killed and someone driving around randomly with a tank.

So this is Liberty City still, but it's New York? New York is Liberty City? Becaaause...didn't I see a Liberty City thing?

Liberty City was always "based" off of NYC, but this appears to be actually set in NYC, or if not, an exact replica of it.

Yeah, I'm pretty much drooling now except that I'll probably never own a next gen console so I won't be able to play it.

Whoawhoawewa! lol game looks fucking amazing. I read in a article that Rockstar is using the Ping Pong in game engine and from the looks of it, its sick. Just the environment itself looks similar to Alan Wake which is a really stunning.

Just what I had expected from the graphics department, and more. Well, I guess I'm gonna have a reason to purchase a nex gen console now.
