After that, it's a bunch of boring shit, and then the page decided to fuck up and write sentences on top of other sentences and shit. Oh well, who cares, it's just the Grammys.
What a bunch of shit.
"While the music industry is doing everything they possibly can to go out of business, can we all make sure to rid ourselves of the Grammys, too? Out of touch old men jacking each other off."
The only artist on that list I care about for winning any Grammys are Foo Fighters. All the rest I couldn't care less about.
I wish I could believe that Adele is that good to warrant that many nominations, and getting the big noms. It's just the hype machine at it's best. Ughhhh. I'm more interested in the Oscars, but that's like saying I like getting my appendix taken out more than I do having a cyst removed. Both suck an equal amount.
Katy Perry better win everything, and be sexy while doing it, like usual. And Kanye better get a goddamn Grammy or someone is going to DIE by Yeezy's pimp hand.
^ Hope that's sarcasm buddy
But yeah, the Grammys are pretty full of shit. It was a really nice surprise to see Arcade Fie beat Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber last year though.
If this is what is popular, wow, I am way out of touch with popular lmao
Which part do you hope is sarcasm? Because none of it was.
Not worth the argument, but it was just a little strange to see you denouncing the hype machine for glorifying artists like Adele and Skrillex, but hoping Katy Perry wins when her pop music is made of the same stuff.
Yeezy better win every award for All of the Lights.
The Foo Fighters, Mastodon and Weird Al Yankovic are the only good artists nominated. They're the only ones deserving of a Grammy. And because it's the Grammy's, none of them will win.
Yeah, dope song.
Hope ADELE gets some awards too.
I hope no one wins. I won't watch because I don't care. Award shows are nothing more than opinions of people who glorify themselves into saying "we know more about this subject than you do." My opinion on the subject matters more to me than theirs does. That's why I stopped giving a fuck.
But seriously, what's the difference between Song and Record?
I wonder if people get into heated arguments over the nominations in some of the more obscure categories?
"Robert Aldridge for Best Contemporary Classical Composition?! You've gotta be fucking shitting me!"
^ ! That would be hilarious.
And wtf @ Nicki Minaj getting nominated for Rap Album of the Year. What a joke!
Difference is, while they all might be a product of the corporate hype machine (less so Skrillex, actually), Katy Perry is actually catchy and does what it's supposed to do. Stay in your head. Adele is just depressing, boring housewife music and Skrillex is.....well, I've been through this before. Like everyone has said, though, it doesn't really matter, because it's just the Grammys. I hold more stock in who wins the MTV Music Awards than I do the Grammys. Sad, right?
Record of the year is given to the artist who performs the song and those who produce the track.
Song of the year goes to the songwriter.
I'd say in many cases this ends up being the same person. Aside from most pop tracks.
Yeah, I assumed it was something like that, but thanks for the clarification
