It's an interview from before the band had decided on the album title, or at least before they had decided to reveal it. Shinoda discusses his experiences making playlists on Spotify, Linkin Park's place in the current state of popular music and collaborating with Rakim on "Guilty All The Same". He also picks apart some of the lyrics from "Hands Held High" that he thinks are some of his own best lines.

Mike could do that for the next Linkin Park album. That would be the band's "ultimate middle finger" song lol, but he was very spot on about the journalism in music and entertainment.

I don't personally think this is "newsworthy" so it might be a good idea if you guys want to make a separate thread and discuss it in there. :)

Saw something about this too. We'll keep track on that and post when it's officially confirmed.

This could mean that they'd perform less at outdoor fests, which I hope not, because I still want them to come to NOLA on tour and I don't care what venue they'd be at even if it's an annual music fest. Also, performing in different standards at different places offers variety and more experiences for not just the band, but also the fans and yes, it's a good way for them to promote their music and get more copies sold in order to continue on what they love to do and for living. Just being a bit concern on what Chester said about this. Yes, I did read the article and seeing someone in concert at a music fest during daytime isn't really all that bad, especially when the weather is hot and sunny, but that's just my viewpoint.
