    STP hasn't posted anything to their official website since November, apparently it's "broken" at the moment. All of those tour dates have been on there for quite a while. There was never an official announcement about the Hawaii shows but they've been in the tour section on there for like two months. The India tour date was just confirmed within the last week or so, so it won't be on the STP website until they get around to fixing it.

    That the recording process took longer than they had intended and now have to extend the schedule.

    Perhaps this is the first schedule conflict that we are seeing between LP and STP.

    Im guessing the LP album since it was agreed that anything LP takes presidence over STP. The way it is worded, it doesnt specify which album they are talking about.

    STP's schedule involves LP and vice-versa. STP have to schedule around LP so, yes, either band's process could have caused this postponement.

    Stone Temple Pilots self-produced both their 2010 self titled album and High Rise. I can't see them hiring a producer when half of the new album (assuming the 5 tracks from HREP make it onto the next LP, but that's another story) is already finalized. So unless they had a sudden change of heart I'm going to have to say the quote is directed toward Linkin Park in the studio, since it says the schedule of the producer dictates canceling the shows.

    Wait so if they are talking about the LP album, does that mean they can't find a producer for the new album? Because it also says "lack thereof"?

    No. It says that the schedule and availability, or lack of (availability) lead to conflicting schedules.

    Well, the studio pictures, which show Chester and Mike working on lyrics for Linkin Park's new album, keep surfacing. I don't think much "reading into things" is involved there. If Linkin Park went "beyond their scheduled time," it isn't that far off to think that they will need Chester to finish things off. Part of the conditions of Chester joining STP was that LP's stuff takes priority.
