    Not quite news, but Shinoda says:

    "Word from LP's management: "New Divide" is only the 3rd record in history to debut in the Top 10 on the American Billboard Hot 100 Chart & Modern Rock Chart simultaneously. The other two songs to achieve this were "What I've Done" & "Speed of Sound" (Coldplay)."

    Names weren't explicitly mentioned in the book - but Stephenie Meyer says so here. :)

    And I only made this connection yesterday (I'm a "Twilight" fan, hence the slowness), but, about "Papercut"; not only do its lyrics describe what Bella goes through in "New Moon" after *ahem* Edward leaves her ... but a papercut is also the catalyst for the entire story. :lol: Yay for me!

    Oh, and, just in case no-one else mentioned this, the song is also featured in a "playlist" for the book on Stephenie Meyer's website (here). As for it being too old to be included on a soundtrack today, Collective Soul had a track on the "Twilight" soundtrack, a track which was released in 1999. :)

    The post I referred to on the Sparkart blog (on this page, somewhere) also mentions that two Evanescence songs will be also be included on the soundtrack - the same two which are on the aforementioned "playlist" for the book. So it's very likely whoever wrote the entry wrongly assumed that that "playlist" was also the listing for the soundtrack ...

    According to Triple M, New Divide pops up no less than 16 times in the movie itself.
