They say talk is cheap. Google thinks it should be free. Google Talk enables you to call or send instant messages to your friends for free–anytime, anywhere in the world. Google Talk offers you:

• Convenience: Your Gmail contacts are pre-loaded into Google Talk so inviting or talking to your friends is just a click away

Google Talk is in beta and requires a Gmail username and password.

 

Awesome...soon the world will be dominated by Google.

If you have Google Desktop 2 (Beta) and you double click on Google Talk's titlebar, your contact list will dock to the sidebar. It's great.

 

forwarning though, Google Desktop does not work with NOD32 (antivirus).

In the about box (right click the taskbar icon) there should be this play 23 21 13 16 21 19 . 7 1 13 5 substitute letters for numbers and you get "wumpus.game" add this to to your freinds list minus the quotes and play an old irc game!
