Discuss Good Things Go! IMO, the bridge and outro for this song is one of the best moments on a Linkin Park song in about four album cycles.
Don't know if it is too early but it is slowly becoming one of my favorite songs from the band. Such a good closer for the album.
One of the songs I'm looking forward to the most. I have yet to read one single lukewarm feedback about it.
I heard this song for the first time at the London Listening Party a couple of weeks ago and it instantly became my favourite song on FZ. After multiple listens, that still remains the same. Emily's vocals are insane here! Such a great song.
It really took me by surprise given the structure the rest of the songs on the album had. Not that in terms of the arrangement structure it's groundbreaking, but more the way it builds and climaxes. It's not a Pushing Me Away-style closer (a decent track, but not one that really owns being a closer), which is what I was expecting given the track length and the vibe of the other songs. Won't spoil you too much though! I can't wait to see what you think. It's definitely up there with my favorites from this album, near the top.
I remember at the listening party, my group of friends stared at each other in increasing disbelief as Emily's vocals went higher and higher. While I love this song, this almost feels like it would fit better on a Post Traumatic follow-up more than an LP album? But then again, I guess in many ways this IS the follow-up to PT so that tracks.
Honestly, the song is fine, but I don’t quite understand the hype around it. The verses sound very conventional and typical, almost like the average verse in any mainstream song today. The choruses are solid, and I do appreciate Emily’s performance. I like how the song builds up towards the end, but overall, it feels like a mid-tier track. I don’t think it stands out enough, even within the album itself.
I've been saying all along how comforting it is I can hear Chester's take on every song on From Zero. Except this one. Emily takes it places I can't imagine Chester going. And for that, it's incredibly special on an already incredibly special record. It's uniquely a song from this new era.
Instant favorite. Instrumental is beautiful, Emily performance is outstanding, Mike bridge gives the shivers.
I just wish it was longer - fantastic song, strong PT feels, but imagine if it was TLTGYA length-wise.
My favorite song on the album. The guitar is beautiful, the chorus is perfect, the rap bridge is Mike’s strongest rap performance on the album. This is the standout emotional rollercoaster of this project and I am still in awe that LP can still make me feel emotional all these years after my adolescence.
The band gets flack sometimes for having shorter songs from time to time but boy can they fill some of those songs with some amazing emotion! This goes down along with The Little Things Give You Away, Powerless, and A Line in the Sand as one of my fav LP album closers. Really love the guitar as the song starts off and the melody of the interplay between Emily and Mike on this one chefs kiss. Emily’s high notes on this towards the end are amazing. That girl can saaannnggg!!! Truly a highlight of the album for me.
Love the guitar at the beginning. This could have been a solid closing track, but I'm afraid Mike ruins it for me with his affected vocal delivery. I don't know why he tries so hard to sound contemporary or whatever. He's at his best on a song like "No Roads Left," where he sounds vulnerable, not trying to be cool.
I adore this song. Something I haven't seen discussed is the tone they used for the opening guitar of the song. Because it sounds so fucking TASTY.
