So as you may have known (or maybe not) I'm pretty into any racing game, like Project Gotham and Need for Speed. I bought Blur today, but I'm also still in the market for good racing games on 360. Any recommendations?

Depends on if you're into sim racing or arcade racing. Because I honestly wouldn't recommend any sim racer to you unless you were willing to drop at LEAST $600 on building a custom cockpit. You need a high quality steering wheel, shifter, quality pedals, 5.1 surround, and a nice racing chair before you can even consider most games IMO.

DiRT 2, and Gran Tourismo 5 when it hits, But that's only for PS3.

Na na na na na naaa! :p

Seriously though, THIS. iRacing over anything else. Racing games on a console won't even touch an actual sim on a PC. I myself have invested over $500 in sim racing alone.

I would hate to buy a $600 car. But that's just me, I guess.

Regardless of the 'you could buy a car' argument, the advantages of full-immersion in sim racing are ones that can't be emulated in a video game environment. Full-fledged sim racers with the right equipment will nail the experience down to a T. Being able to actually feel the feedback from a hard right in a Mazerati is NOT something you can get with 'Oh if you're going to drop $600 on something, might as well buy a car.' Also there's the whole 'street racing is illegal' deal. And the 'you can die attempting to race in real life' deal.

A well-invested cockpit gives you the full racing experience without the risk. I played in a cockpit the other day with a speaker-system called the buttkicker that is installed to your seat. You can literally feel the gravel under the wheels as you drive.

That does sound pretty intense. But really, $600 "at LEAST"? Damn.

The racing games I thought stood out this gen are:
    Grid
    Dirt 2
    Burnout Paradise
    Blur

I would highly recommend Gran Turismo 5 and the new Need for Speed game when they are released.

I would say Need For Speed : Hot Pursuit.
And PGR4 and FORZA3 seems to be a good choice too.

F1 2010 by Codemasters. Best Formula 1 game so far, fucking amazing graphics and as close to real life as it can get.
