Listening to their "f#a# (infinity symbol)" EP right now. It's amazing. The whole album is... hard to describe. It's like the soundtrack to a post-apocalyptic world, to be honest. The instrumentals are beautifully done, and I can easily imagine it being played in a movie where the world ends or something. The first track, The Dead Flag Blues, starts with a deep-voiced monologue, and continues on in the song sometime later. Tells the tale of some sort of widespread accident happening. Reminds me of 9/11, but it was written in 1998. It's just... beautiful. Only one world to describe it, really. Download it. Buy it. Whatever, just get it and listen.
I've just kind of discovered the whole post-rock scene last week or something. Listened to a bit of GY!BE and thought it was really amazing...I have to download some of their stuff (an album or two) because it sounds really awesome, the experimentation of it. There is a whole bunch of related bands with a similar sound that you (and myself too) should check out, you can find the bands on Amazon pretty quickly. I heard that Isis' album "Panopticon" has some post-rock influences, does it have any relation to that? Just wondering.
