Well, hopefully someone will know that with messenger plus you can use it to set Messenger up to tell you how many emails you have in, non-hotmail accounts using POP3. I have a Gmail account and as people who have one or know about them, you do not delete emails but rather archive them. The problem with using Messenger plus, with gmails pop3 email service that rather than showing you how many new emails you have, or how many emails in your inbox it collects, so even if there is nothing in my inbox it may still say "you have 26 new emails". Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this. If so please respond. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Exactly. Plus uses like 5x more resources than gmail notifier. Do what I do, make a firefox shortcut under the address bar where it's easy to click.
