Glass Ballerina A ballerina made of glass Starring at him motionless The distortion of his face Shining on her pretty dress And time goes by, he can’t forget Every night he wakes in sweat He tries to speak, confess to her But she won’t listen, not a word A ballerina on the floor She won’t be dancing anymore Shattered to pieces by his hand He goes to bed drunk again Days go by, he’s all alone She was, she was the only one Now he just sits and recollects His ballerina made of glass Honey, I know that it’s late And nothing I can say will change your mind But how come you don’t realize it was a mistake Honey, we have to go back And now I’m lost Just like before And now I’m lost Maybe even more And I can’t go on And I can’t go on So far away.. In my restless dreams I see your face Did I kill you honey or you killed me? I can still hear your voice, I can still feel your taste Even so far away Even so far away
it's amazing. your idea of a lover ballerina of glass... it's just so original. you can really work this poem up with some fancy words and make it an exquisite masterpeice. sad though that the writer's cove is so dead.
Thanks, it really means a lot. I will continue to work on it and maybe post it when I finish it. Concerning the current state in Writers' Cove, maybe another Lyrics Competition could save this place?
I can still hear your voice, I can still feel your taste Even so far away Even so far away Those lines totally made it worth reading this...(not that it wouldn't have been worth it otherwise. But those lines REALLY made it worth it)
i doubt that would save it considering we never get more than ten votes in all, and like ten entries.
