    Awesome.

It's been a while since I've posted on these forums but I visit the website constantly and I've been waiting for the Summer Sonic tour to hopefully hear a new song and the patience paid off. Here are my comments on the new song "QWERTY."

First off the intro guitar part sounds awesome. Brad really has stepped up his guitar playing. It draws you in from the beginning.

Secondly, Mike's rapping sounds much better than his work on Meteora. He sounds like he's rapping with more passion.

Chester...well Chester always sounds amazing to me. The song is much harder than I expected seeing as they said the new album would be more "Breaking the Habit-esque" but I'm a big fan of the screaming and the chorus. It's so catchy and intense and I love how Chester switches from blood-curdling screaming to melodic singing seemingly effortlessly.

Overall, I think the song is absolutely badass. It is exactly what I wanted to hear from LP. I love the new darker, harder direction. One thing I can honestly say is that LP has never disappointed me and it looks like they will not continue with their new album. If all the songs live up to QWERTY then I think we are in for a treat. Sounds like Rick and Mike know what they are doing. Now if we could just get a release date and album title I would be thrilled.

Instead of "dreamed up" I think it's wrapped up, which kind of makes sense. In reference to the song, I think it's pretty cool, hopefully it's the bridge between the two albums sort of like SIB was a bridge from HT to Meteora. I'm hoping for more experimenting on the album but yeah this song is at least decent. Reading my eyes is even better tho, I love the updated style of it. Also the classical, dramatic intros to papercut etc are incredible!

I didn't think that I had a debt to pay
Until you came to take what I had left away
You said you wouldn't put me to the test today
But I remember you saying that yesterday
There was a time when the lie wasn't out of control
Every memory, every question pouring out of your soul
Like these simple thoughts, you swallow them whole
Another lie, hard to follow, they follow you home
    And like that
(Broken down, a victim of you're crime)
This lie is so out of control
Every memory, every question pouring out of your soul
    And like that
(Broken down, a victim of you're...)

    Lies
    You hide behind your lies
    You don't know why
    You crossed the line
    You're wrapped up inside,
    Your Lies
    You hide behind your lies
There must be something you disguise
    Behind your lies...

Hard to know what you thought I might say
Seems like we would never talk the right way
Every other minute I felt I'm out of place
A job without pay, I thought you might say
So, I'm guessing that you probably know
When your insides hollow and you can't even cope
Like the pure thoughts you stole, it's going to swallow you whole
Another lie, hard to follow, it followed you home
    And like that
(Broken down, a victim of you're...)

    Lies
    You hide behind your lies
    You don't know why
    You crossed the line
    You're wrapped up inside,
    Your Lies
    You hide behind your lies
There must be something you disguise
    Behind your lies...

    You're faking, you've forsaken
    ...of your soul
    Forsaken what was taken
    ...
Broken down, a victim of you
    Faking, you've forsaken
    ...of your soul
Broken down, a victim of you're
    Lies

    You hide behind your lies
    You don't know why
    You hide behind your lies
    You don't know why
    You hide behind...
    You're wrapped up inside

    Your lies
    You hide behind your lies
    You don't know why
    You crossed the line
    You're wrapped up inside,
    Your Lies
    You hide behind your lies
There must be something you disguise
    Behind your lies...

edited: Wrapped up sounds better, yes. I could be wrong still, and some parts are missing, but that's what I can make out.

This has replaced Papercut as their best song, as far as I am concerned. Very impressive.

It's too bad we don't have a "hail and bow" smiley on here, because that is absolutely what I would like to do right now. Fucking amazing stuff!! And thanks Joe, for the transcribed lyrics!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWW that just made my day a whole lot better. Speculation - I like the name Qwerty, as I think it's something different, but I have a feeling that if that isn't the real name then it will be called "Behind Your Lies." Seems like a standard Linkin Park-ish title.

First, I never posted here before, but I´m hardcore Linkin Park fan. With new album coming soon I tought it might be a good idea to create an account here. New things are posted very fast,..

That new song kicks asses, and i´ve never tought that Reading my eyes would be ever performed live. That´s some fast rappin, and the text doesn´t makes it easyer to sing with it.

Damn, I wish when their new album is out (about Halloween?) they do a European tour. When that happens and I was there, my life is complete.

I like it when Chester screams like that, if you put that together with the magical guitars and Mike´s rap, you get that unique sound that gives me the shivers.

I think btw that the you in the second line is They, not you :)

    I. LOVE. THIS!!!!

I dont think that this is thier best song, but I still think that its pretty good, definately not what I was expecting. Chester sounds amazing in this song, both while he's screaming and while he's singing. I love how dark the new sound is, and if the rest of the album is this good, then we are definately in for a treat. Cant wait for this to be proffesionally recorded and (hopefully) leaked. But, one complaint, I dont think that I heard Mr. Hahn once in the song. He might have done a couple of things in the chorus, but still, if they added some turntables then this song would be perfect!

    Anyway, good job LP!
